I love to create fresh glowing skin and natural effortless hair. My ongoing experience in the fashion industry means I am able to re-create the latest runway and red carpet looks, whilst still maintaining each woman's individual style and taste.
One of my many strengths as an artist is that I have perfected the art of bringing out each woman’s natural beauty through the art of hair and make up.
My Makeup Kit is always stocked with quality products including: Georgio Armani, Bioderma, Embrolyssie, MAC, Bobbi Brown, Shu Uemura, Chanel, NARS, Stila and Laura Mercier, Becca, Hourglass, Anastasia Beverly Hills, etc etc..
Hair kit is much the same: Kevin Murphy, Kerastase, Ouai, Mr Smith, Wella, Bumble and Bumble, Aveda, KMS, Tigi, Goldwell, Shu Eumura etc..
Can you do both hair and makeup for my wedding?
Yes of course! I do both hair and makeup. However, due to time constraints and the number of people I normally do one or the other. I have many contacts and am able to recommend amazing hair and makeup artists if needed
How much time should I allow for my makeup and hair on my wedding day?
Makeup takes a maximum of 1 hour per Makeup per person.
Hair is a maximum of one hour per person.
When you book 4 or more people I usually work along with my hair stylist so we can do 2 people at once.
Will my makeup last all day?
Of course! I only use the best products in my kit and I always use the appropriate primers ensure your makeup lasts all day and night. I also specialise in AIRBRUSHING which is incredible for brides as it does not move until you need to take it off.
I recommend that you purchase a lipstick to keep with you on the day.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
Yes, a non refundable booking fee of 50% is required to secure your booking and hold the date. Due to demand I cannot hold your wedding date until payment is received. The booking fee is then deducted from the balance owing on the day.
Why are your prices are more expensive than other hair and makeup artists?
I believe I offer a good price for a great service. As with anything you get what you pay for and I have been in the industry full time for almost a decade so I have lots of valuable experience with weddings, makeup and hair styling. I use top of the line luxury hair and makeup products and offer a professional and friendly service, I will do whatever I can to ensure your day runs perfectly and smoothly, I have a strong focus on hygiene (I use disposable mascara wands, and sterilize all of my tools between each person)
Do I need a trial?
I highly recommend that the bride has a trial. Your wedding is such an important event and you want to make sure you love the hair and makeup as you will cherish the photos forever. This is a perfect time for you to see what you like and don’t like and to see how your hair and makeup looks in photographs. It is also a time to make sure you aren’t allergic to any products and ensure you are happy with the look and your artist.
What happens at the trial?
We will discuss your wedding, your dress and your taste in hair and makeup. We look through a book of styles to give you ideas. I make recommendations regarding the colour scheme of your makeup based on your skin tone, eye colour and dress. I then apply the makeup so you can see how you will look on the day and to see how the makeup lasts.
We choose a lipstick colour for you to buy and have with you at the wedding. I take photos so that you can see how you look in photographs and to document the style to recreate for you on the day of your wedding.
We also discuss a skincare regime for you to follow leading up to the big day to ensure you look your best. We talk about the look you would like for your bridesmaids so that everything is well planned for your big day.
What do I need to do to be prepared for the trial?
Wash your hair the day before the trial. Do not use a leave in conditioner or oil. Your hair will style better if you use salon quality conditioner, not supermarket brands with a lot of silicone in them.
Blow-dry it as smooth as you can but don’t straighten it with tongs
Exfoliate your skin the morning of the trial
Have a photo of your dress and your bridesmaid dresses.
Have your veil/clip and accessories with you
Bring any hair and makeup photos references that you have collected
How long does the trial take?
A makeup trial takes 1-1.5 hours. A hair and makeup trial is around 2.5 hours. I love to take me time with you and get to know you as I will be with you on your special day.
Does my bridal party and my mother also need a makeup trial?
This is completely up to you. Generally speaking, only the Bride needs a trial. The bridal party's makeup requirements can be sorted out on the wedding day.
I have a large bridal party… Can you do Hair & Makeup for everyone?
For bridal parties that are for 3 people and under I can happily do both hair and makeup on the day. For any bridal parties that are any larger than 3 people, I recommend having a separate hair stylist on the day. This will ensure that everybody gets perfect results. There's also no need to rush, or to have start too early on the day when you have 2 separate people working at the same time.
